Forum Game: Trekkified Songs

Postby Taneth » Wed Jan 28, 2004 7:13 pm

this is a complicated game. Take a song, and turn it into Trek. Preferably do the entire lyrics. Then others can rate it on a score of 1-5. Here's an example of an already existing song:

Base: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
New name: Star Trek Rhapsody

Kirk: "I am the captain of the starship Enterprise"
Spock: "Captain Kirk, this is Spock, please step on the transporter"
Scotty: "Dilithium chrystals, hit by Klingon missiles, NO!"
Bones: "I'm a Doctor"
Kirk: "Not an actor"
Bones: "Not a Milkman"
Kirk: "What does that mean?"
Bones: "And I'm sorry, he's dead Jim"
Checkov: "Photon torpedo-o-o"

Kirk: "Lieutenant Uhura, open hailing frequencies"
Uhura: "Yes, captain Kirk, opening hailing frequencies, sir"
Kirk: "Let's boldly go where no-one's gone before."

Kirk: "hahahahahahaha. Beam me up, Mr Scot, Sulu go to warp"
Sulu: "Warp 3, sir"
Kirk: "NO! That will be way too slow"
Sulu: "Warp 4, sir?"
Kirk: "It still is way too slow"
Sulu: "Warp 5, sir?"
Kirk: "It still is too damn slow"
Sulu: "Warp 6?"
Kirk: "It's too damn slow"
Sulu: "Warp 7?"
Kirk: "It's too damn slow"
All: "It's too damn slo-o-o-ow"
Kirk: "No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Mr Checkov, Mr Checkov"
Checkov: "I am firing torpedo"
Spock: "That will not work, and would be illogical to me... to me.... to me-e-e-e-e"

No need to rate this one, I didn't write it.
If the apocalypse comes, I sure hope it comes in the form of Threadfall because I am SO getting a dragon.

Base: I still call Australia home
New name: I still call a Starship home

I've been to planets that never demise
From Terra, to Quonos, to Solaris 5
But no matter how far or how wide I roam
I still call a starship home

I'm always flying, I love being free
So I keep traveling the great galaxy
But my heart lies waiting over the fold
I still call a starship home

All the sons and daughters spinning around the stars
Away from their family and friends
But as the world gets older, and colder
It's good to know where your journey ends

And someday we'll all be together again
When all of the ships come back to the bay
I realise something I've always known
I still call a starship home

And no matter how far or wide I roam
I still call a starship
I still call a starship
I still call a starship home

And no matter how far or wide I roam
I still call a starship
I still call a starship
I still call a starship home
If the apocalypse comes, I sure hope it comes in the form of Threadfall because I am SO getting a dragon.

Great idea for a game, Taneth! I'll make it a sticky to give it a bit more exposure.

And, for your song, I'll rate it as a 5 for the best! :D

RIKER IN THE SKY WITH DATA
----------------------------------------
Sung to the tune of: "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"
----------------------------------------
by Lt. 1C Alex Ducane
----------------------------------------

Picture yourself on a Federation Shuttlecraft,
With luminous stars, and pulsing quasars,
Somebody hails you, you answer quite slowly,
The Romulan Warbird Ko'loth

Charge your phaser banks and load torpedos,
Activate Red-Alert,
Lock target scanners on enemy ship,
And press fire,

Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data, ah

Start the evasive manouvre five-twenty,
Shields down to 90 percent,
Fly to the nearest inhabited star-sytem,
But watch for the barrier ahead,

Engage your nacelles and go into warp,
Then you can fly away,
Fly the shuttle into a gas nebula,
And you're gone,

Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data, ah

Picture yourself with a half-human android,
He speaks in a natural tone,
Suddenly someone is there at the tactical,
It's Riker with foreign women,

Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data, ah
Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data,
Riker in the sky with Data, ah

Base: The War of 1812
New Name: The Battle of 359

Oh, come back proud Federation
to before bad guys were mean.
No akira at Deep Space Nine
It was our galaxy (so you thought!)

In 2360, Romulans were bad,
they were our enemies you know...
Well they thought they'd tell the Klingons
where they ought to go.

We thought we'd defy Q again,
we thought that we were tough,
so he sent a Borg cube to us,
to assimilate our stuff.

But the Borg ship burn burn burned,
and we're the ones that did it!
It burn burn burned
and Locutus nearly died.
It burn burn burned,
and things were very historical.
And the Borg all looked suprised
'cos they didn't know we'd do that, ha ha ha!
In the battle of 359

Those drones from the delta quadrant
Dressed in chrome and black
Left home to assimilate Earth,
But they returned home flack

It's the only war the Borg Hive lost,
except for Fluidic Space.
And also Unimatrix Zero!
Right, and the Transwarp Hub.

The loser was the Borg Cube.
The winner was our minds.
So join right in and gloat about
the battle of 359

When the Borg ship burn burn burned,
and we're the ones that did it!
It burn burn burned
and Locutus nearly died.
It burn burn burned
and things were very historical.
And the borg all looked suprised
'cos they didn't know we'd do that, ha ha ha!
In the battle of 359

At 359 we were just lookin' alive,
Minding our own business, putting ships into the sky.
We saw the cube ship coming and we didn't like that sight
so we hacked into their root command and turned it into fire!

Oh, we fired our phasers but the cube regenerated.
It wasn't quite as stupid as it was a while ago.
We sent in an away team and we took away their captive,
changed him back to Cap' Picard who made the ship go slow...

They rammed through defences and
They rammed through the starships
They ran down their shields where they thought we wouldn't go
They were so effcient they forgot to look behind them
Back as the Enterprise was about to make them blow up

So if you go to Borg space again,
it's big ships clean and new,
bring Transphase Torpedoes,
and we'll blast their Complex too!

And the Borg ships burn burn burned,
but the Borg Queen won't admit it!
It burn Burn burned
and burned and burned and burned.
It burn burn burned
now let that pay them back!
And the Borg all looked suprised
'cos they didn't know we'd do that, ha ha ha!

In the battle of Wolf 359
If the apocalypse comes, I sure hope it comes in the form of Threadfall because I am SO getting a dragon.

THE ZEALOUS
----------------------------------------
Sung to the tune of: "My Girl"
----------------------------------------
(When singing, you might have to
lengthen/shorten syllables to make
it fit... but we don't care, 'cos it's
funny!!)
----------------------------------------
by Lt. 1C Alex Ducane
----------------------------------------

Ja'arda, she's a Starfleet Captain,
Dillard, he's her first officer,

Well Alex says to Jake,
Let's go and find a piece of cake,

Zealous (Zealous, Zealous)
Talking 'bout Star Ships

Murdock, the texan helmsman
Ti'ana, she's got operations

Well Joy says to Stanton,
My sensors are reading Plankton,

Zealous (Zealous, Zealous)
Blowing up Star Ships

We've got Vaskel, he's chief engineer,
Taneth, he chases reindeer,

Well Moss says to Loyst,
Your lies make my forehead moist,

Zealous (Zealous, Zealous)
Destroying Star Ships

Base: Take a Little Trip by Alabama
Modified: Trip to Risa

If we could leave this big old starship
And head back for the room we loved back deep in the woods
Whoa baby we would
If we could jump in some big old shuttle & head for the islands
Where the weather is always good
Oh don't you know we would
Well we can't do this & we can't do that
But baby we can stay right where we're at
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip up to Risa tonight
Take a little time leave it all behind
Take a little trip up to Risa tonight

We could go downtown to the lounge
And dance to the rhythm of the music on that old hardwood
Whoa baby we could
We could call up rita & bobby
And see what they're doing tonight & maybe play Parrises Squares
Yeah baby we could

Yeah now we can do this or we can do that
Or baby we can stay right where we're at
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip up to Risa tonight
Take a little time leave it all behind
Take a little trip you and me out of sight
Pull out the ale turn down the lights
Take a little trip up to Risa tonight
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip up to Risa tonight
Take a little trip me and you out of sight
Pull out the ale turn down the lights
Take a little trip up to Risa tonight

Before I start... this was a spoof made over 2 years ago, shortly after a small event happened in the FSF. Those that remember the FSF site being hacked and what not... well, you might know what I mean with some of this song, then.

Song Base: American Pie - Don McLean
New Song: FSF Pie

A long long time ago, I can still remember how that Trek sim used to make me smile. And I knew if i had my chance, that I could make those simmers last and maybe they'd be Admirals for a while. But AdmShuni made me shiver, with every sim plot I delivered, bad news and announcements. I couldn't take no more of it. I can't remember if I cried when I read about his plot-denied. But something touched me deep inside, the day...they banned that fleet...

So Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies

Did you write the simming brief and do you have faith in its relief, if the sim hosts say so. Now do you believe in NPC's, can their deaths save your precious sim and can you teach me how to kill real slow. Well I know that you love her charrie because I saw the PM that she sent me. You both kicked off your nicks, man I dig those character pics. Ohh I was a lonely teenage simmer king, with a big ego like a (FSF)Seth-wannabe, but I knew I was out of luck, the day...they banned that fleet.

O Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies

Now for ten years we've been simming strong and the league moves behind the building throng, but thats not how it used to be. When Josh sang for Shuni and Cal in a coat he borrowed from the Kes and a voice that came from a TV. Oh and while command was looking down, Josh swooped in and stole their Clowns, the lounge chat was adjourned, no Ales were to be served. And while Okuda read a log from Wolf, the Cadets practiced and rehursed, and we sang dirges in the dark the day, they banned that fleet

So Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies

Helter Skelter in a simmer swelter the hosts flew off without a plot or helper, 8 days away from failure....it landed out right as planned, the Delta team tried for a passing Q with Josh, playing for Alpha, to the end. Now the Crossfire game was sweet perfume while the Hosts sent out some interesting Q's, we all get up to reply, but then I got hit in the eye 'Cause Seth was jealous that he was sunk, from all the votes he was called the lunk. Do you recall who won crossfire the day, they banned the fleet.

So Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies

And there we are all in one place, a simmer generation lost in a plot, with no time left to start again. So come on, Truce be nimble, Lowell be quick. Decker's come and shot the stick 'cause phasers are the CSEC's only friends....and as I watched him on the deck, my hands were clenched around his neck. No simmer on the ship, could break my powerful grip. And as the flames burst out from the core, to kill the NPCs, 2 or more, I saw Truce-y laughing with delight, the day the fleet was banned

So Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies

I met a girl who sang the blues, and I asked her for some happy news. She just sent me an old Buzz. I went down to the FSF site, where I'd seen the letters the other night...but the host there said the server ...wasn't rigggght. And on the boards the simmers screamed. The cadets cried and hosts dreamed. But not a word was spoken...the yahoo groups were broken. And the three men I admire most, Truce, Jon, and the Hanley host. They all took fleets and worked the most, the day...the fleet was banned.

So Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies. They were singing... Bye bye this ol' Zeta fleet guy. Put my pic up with a link and now he's banned for life. And them good ol boys were posting left and right, saying this will be the day FSF dies...this will be the day FSF dies

Oh, Josh, you don't know the irony of that song! They used that during Mike/Seth's funeral, as everyone had one last opportunity to proceed past the casket to pay their last respects before the trip to the cemetary.
