Have a new species that you think might make for an interesting new enemy of the Federation? How about for your own character? Are they from another planet?

What about a planet that might have a Federation colony, or maybe a secret base hiding Romulans? Or perhaps even an undiscovered world?

What would the indigenous life be like?

Felonians

Name:
  Felonian

Personality:  The average Felonian is similar to a Klingon.  They highly aggressive, brutal, and tough.  They are quick to anger, approach problems directly and sometimes covertly, do not back down from confrontations, hold onto their grudges, and tend to resolve difficulties with violence.

Physical Description:  Bi-pedal humanoids who resemble some of the cats found in the wild on Earth.

All felonians have slitted cat's eyes, retractable claws, and body markings similar to their Earth quad-pedal counterparts.  Females always have a mane of hair, as do some males of certain clans.  Most felonians possess fur and a tail, but there are some (especially among the nobles) who have humanoid type skin and no tail.  They still possess the same body markings/colorations.

This is believed to be the master race, from which the Regulans, Kzin, and Caitians have their origins.

Homeworld:  Felonia

Culture:  Felonians evolved from aboreal predators with many similarities to the Earth feline species.  Early Felonians spent their whole lives on the move, prowling across hundreds of square kilometers of forest and plain.  Felonian society evolved as a loose confederation of matrilineal clans, meeting at specific locations for mining, government, and other relatively fixed functions.  Felonian civilization advanced slightly faster than Earth, partly aided by technology gained from the worlds/civilizations they conquered.

Favored Profession:  Soldier.  Like Klingons, every Felonian considers him or herself a warrior and approaches daily activities as though they are a form of combat.

Species Abilities:  The musculature of the Felonians grants them enhanced strength, reflexes, agility, and increased stamina.  They are noted for their ability to leap/jump higher/father than a normal humanoid, and their high threshold for pain.

Due to the hunting habits of their ancestors, Felonian eyes are optimized for light intensification, allowing for nigh vision.  Although not as sharp as Vulcan hearing, they can hear sounds in the ultrasonic and subsonic frequencies.  They also have excellent sound discrimination abilities, which is used when attempting to tell sounds apart from each other.  Their sense of smell is equally as sharp, allowing them to determine the difference and approximate location of an ally or prey, even when a few miles away.

They also possess a latent psychic ability which, when developed, allows them to communicate with/order feline-type creatures on other planets.

Cyndrielians

Personality:  The Cyndrielians generally are reclusive and prize their privacy. They are mainly comprised of idealists and socialists. Their days are spent working at the same inherited lifestyle as their parents and their evenings are occupied with leisurely games, the persuit of pleasure, and idle conversation.

Compared to Betazoids, the Cyndrielians seem extremely cold, bitter, cruel, and heartless. They have not forgotten how they felt betrayed by their own kind, and have turned that into a bitter hatred. They are not afraid openly using their gifts to gain an advantage or defend their planet, and will not rest until they have extracted revenge.

Physical Description: The appearance of the average Cyndrielian is still very similar to the average Betazoid. Most tend to have dark hair and darkly-colored pupils. Unlike their Betazoid counterparts, their musculature are far more developed, and there appears to be a growth of webbing in between the fingers and the toes.

Homeworld:  Cyndriel

Culture:  Cyndrielians were originally Betazoids, who lived on the planet Betazed. Most had been part of the great houses, and urged for more support to advancing both technology and social freedoms. Most Betazoids, at that time, opnely used their gifts to read the minds of others without hesitation.

With the advent of the development of Warp Drive technology on the planet, a charismatic and progressive priest named Dainara emerged, advocating the separation of the secular and spiritual. He also spoke of new responsibilities inherent in technology, and the causal acceptance and potential misuse of Betazoid telepathy.

Following the maiden flight of the Avandar, explorers from Betazed made contact with the Terabians. They were, at first, welcoming, but tensions soon arose. Terabians began to fear the Betazoid telepathy, accused Betazoids of dishonesty and unfair practices. Betazoid settlers living on Terabia were rounded up and thrown into makeshift internment camps, while they launched a preemptive strike on Betazed itself.

Dainara was called to lead the negotiations and helped to create the Terabian Armistice, which set up what was to become the Betazoid Ruling Council and created the now widely-known Code of Sentience.

Those who did not accept the Code felt as if Dainara's actions would lead to the downfall of the planet. The actions of the Terabians were evidence of how others viewed Betazoids and their gifts. Instead of accepting the new way of life, they left the planet, supposedly never to be heard from again.

The ship carrying the refugees crash landed on a small island on the planet orbiting the star Vitria. Most of the planet was covered by water, with only a few islands of various sizes stretching above the ocean surface. They named the planet Cyndriel, which was the name given to Betazed by aboriginies living on their former home.

The refugees soon discovered just how harsh their new home really was. Storms took almost half of the lives of those who had left Betazed, and those who remained alive realized that they had to adapt in order to survive.

An Argosian stumbled across the planet, and the new residents of Cyndriel captured him. Desperate for a way to save their people, Cyndrielian scientists became fascinated by the Argosian's ability to breathe underwater. They experimented on his physiology, while others telepathically interrogated him to get the ingredients of the serum Argosian scientists had developed centuries ago.

Before the Argosian died, Cyndrielian scientists managed to duplicate the serum and administered it to the surviving former-Betazoids. It worked perfectly, changing their body chemistry to allow for the ability to breathe water, while still retaining the ability to breathe air.

They began to migrate into the depths, away from the storms, and began to build fantastic underwater cities. Each city is arranged in concentric circles, with the wealthier and more infuential living toward the center.

The society has a strict caste system at every level, and power is inherited from mother to daughter. Males have started to play a more important role in the society, although women still hold the positions of power. Priests and priestesses have discarded all of the old Betazoid gods with the exception of Chishleen, the god of the water, Brakah, the god of the dark, and Irulau, the god of the storm.

The castes are divided into servants, laborers, artisans, scientists, priests, warriors and the ruling class. The civilization is ruled by a council of Shedumen, each one serving as dictator to one of the rings of cities that make up their civilization. The Shedumen have total power over the lives of those who live in their ring and can do most anything without question or reprimand.

Species Abilities: Due to a combination of the serum acquired from the Argosan, as well as their own evolution, the Cyndrielians have a number of noted changes:

1) Chemically-altered lungs: Due to the serum, Cyndrielian lungs have become advanced to where they can breathe both underwater and on land. A Cyndrielian cannot drown in water, but may drown in other non-oxidized liquids, and may suffocate in other conditions which prohibit the taking in of air. They will often make use of weighted nets to entrap swimming opponents.

2) Thick epidermal layer: The thickness of their skin allows Cyndrielians to keep warm in the cold depths of the ocean, and serves as a form of natural "armor" which reduces physical damage, especially in the case of falls and crushing blows. Minor settings for stun blasts are also rendered ineffective.

3) Enhanced physiology: Due to the need to constantly swim, Cyndrielian bodies have adapted to provide the strength they need to move great distances through the water effortlessly. Their powerful build also protects them from the crushing pressure in some of the deeper sections of the ocean. Even the feminine half of the race is substantially stronger than a fit, human male laborer.

4) Enhanced eyesight: Since the bottom of the ocean can be a very dark place, Cyndrielian eyesight has adapted to the environment, allowing them to see more than 60 feet within the darkest environments.

5) Increased Resistances: Because the oceans sometimes contain various toxins, the Cyndrielians have developed a naturally string resistance to toxins and poisons, including airborne gasseous materials. As a result, Cyndrielians make frequent the use of poison, delivering the toxin to their opponent through various weapons.

6) Increased Mental Abilities: Due to the dangerous nature of the oceans and the creatures contained within, the natural Betazoid abilities possessed by the Cyndrielians have gained strength. All members of the species are now fully empathic and telepathic, and can project their thoughts and feelings to another individual over long distances. The projection can be so intense that, in extreme cases, the synaptic functions of the recipient can overload to the point of causing a coma or death.

Thanks to ships passing through the area, the Cyndrielians have learned that the Betazoids have joined the Federation. This has strengthened the resolve of the Cyndrielians to brainwash their fellow Betazoids, transforming them just as the Cyndrielians have transformed, and kill the rest who resist.

Name: Tarmon Ay

Home Planet: Jyrowanda

Territory: 11,000 light years and in control of 206 planets M and L class.

Physical Description: The Tarmon Ay have the same colour of skin as humans pale and black but have many distingtive differences. They have a large bone in their skull that forces the skin out, on the forehead that have the bone vertical in the middle two parts move away go down the cheeks and re-connect in the centre of the chin. They have marking patterns all over their face that look like black war paint but is actually part of their skin. They usuallly have narrow eyes which are green where ours are white and sapphire where ours are coloured. On the back of each hand they have another bone sticking out to make an arch runing from just above the wrist to the bottom of the middle finger. They always have either long black hair or short black hair like Tuvok when they are darker.

Personality: They will prove a very challenging oppenent, they are extrelmly clever and sly like the Romulans, however they will always answer to hails. The history of the Tarmon Ay has made them a very democratic race run by an Emperor and a board of 9 Governors. These ten decide what will happen in all scenarios and will work together for the best sollution. From their time of being an Ancient race like the Terran Greek, Roman etc. they are interested in Poetry, Art, pottery, litterature and many other cultural activitties. However they may show them self as a race of intelects and peace whiich they are inside their borders when it comes to their military and space exploration they go through a complete metamorphises. They keep their intellect but become greedy and power hungray with short tempers. Say no on your second chance and there is higher liklability of you being destroyed than you ever speaking again.

Lanquages: Tarmonian and the abilty to speak every other lanquage they hear by high density neural electric brain nerves.

Special Abilities
Having muscles 60% larger than that of a human and having 140% more nerves in the muscles they have a great strengh.
Special chemicals in their body make them immune to Nano probes meaning they can only be killed not assimilated.
While Vulcans have avanced hearing the Tarmon Ay have advenced eyesite allowing them to see the movement of and ant up to 60 meters away.

Name: Vyronians
From: Planet Vyron

Physical Description: Like Species 8472 but where 8472 are about 9-10 feet tall they are smaller about 8 feet tall. Instead of purple grey skin the Vyronians are silvery blue, they have some changes in their head like a ridge of spikes coming down the forehead and smaller eyes.

Personality: Like Species 8472 little is known about the Vyronians but they show high intelligence and ruthlessness.

They are cousins of Species 8472 but do not originate from fluidic space. With they're cousins they plan to take over the Galaxy, those who co-operate will be incorperated into their lifestyle those who don't shall be harvested for food.

Special Abilities: They have an arsenal of personal weapons as part of their body such as great strenght, strong poison that is injected via spike and an extremly powerful scid that comes from a hole that opens up at the start of the torso below the neck. They also have self stealth technology. Like their cousins can survive outside a ship as they do not need oxygen and their bodies are well insulated.

Planet Info: M class Nitrogen Oxygen atmosphere most land is mountainous and rocky 40% of the planet is water.

Ship Info: Vyronian Warships are about the same size of an Intrepid class, they have Polaron based phasers, Antimatter ionic warheads, extremly strog hull and highly sophisticated shields system.

Name: The Drealoch Stellar Annex

Size of Empire: 49 systems over 2000 light years

Location: 650 light years north of Borg Collective

Homeworld: The Drealoch lost there world nearly half a million years ago, since then the homeworld's inhabitants have lived in the asteroid belt created when the Planet exploded.

Physical Appearance:
Height Average: 2.11 metres
Features: The Drealoch communicate through telepathy, so therefore the have evloved without mouths. The Absorb nutrients through their fingers.
They have a layer of fine purple fur and have slit like eyes. They are also Bipedal.

Culture Rating: 49

Personality: The Drealoch Believe that chaos rules the galaxy and only they can bring peace and stability. Therefore, they are perhaps the most ruthless exapntionists outside the Borg.

Stellar Navy: Due to the frequent Borg invasions, the Drealoch have built the most powerful fleet in the Delta Quadrant

Phase Ants (Unofficial name)
(only recently discovered, much of this information is speculation.)

Like Earth ants, these creatures live in colonies with a queen, workers, soldiers, and scouts. They also fight wars for territory and food.
The venom of the soldier is very acidic, allowing them to eat their kill, and they can carry 12 times their weight. Average size is about 1cm.
Workers average 5mm, able to carry 8 times their weight, they handle all the digging and construction of the colony. The entire species is out of phase, unable to be touched and completely invisible except for the scout, which can unphase to seek out prey.
The scout venom is very potant stuff. With just one bite, it can send it's victim into a high fever, before the chronaton base of the venom begins slowly transporting it's prey into the ant relm and, consequently, the mouths of the waiting soldiers.

Venom effects:
Anything bitten by the scout will be severely weakened by the fever, and further by starvation as it would soon begin passing through solid matter and unable to eat. Depending on the prey's size, it will slowly become more and more transperant until completely invisible. Eventually the prey will be covered in soldier ants and ripped to pieces.
If you are bitten by a scout phase ant, seek medical attention immediately.
If the apocalypse comes, I sure hope it comes in the form of Threadfall because I am SO getting a dragon.

Name: Iconian

Personality: The average Iconian is pleasant enough, and friendly to most of his fellow beings.
Physical Description: Bi-pedal humanoids with blue skin and eyes of a solid colour. In a darkened environment they give off a small glow due to a bioluminescence because there bodies store and control electrical impulses.

Homeworld: Kharack

Culture: After there exile from the Alpha quadrant the Iconian people have remained the same as they were all those millennia ago. Species Abilities: When it comes to ship building, perfection is caught in the eye of the Iconian ship yards of Kharack. Possessing no form of what is ‘modern technology’ the Iconian’s have had to engineer there own. And thus is born the Wave Form Drive. This drive opens a hole in space into sub space, allowing a ship or fleet to jump from one area of space at about the same speed of a Federation starship straining at maximum warp. And impulse technology is replaced by fusion drives, giving the same kind of speed and handling as there Federation counterpart. And like I said, perfection is held in there ability to build ships. This is what happens when the Iconain's go to war. They double park there space ships on the planet lol. But I think you can get a sense of size seeing these are the largest ship 'capable' of travle through the atmosphere. There are bigger ship's you know...
