Here you will find out what is going on with the Zealous on her current mission. We will try to post all pertitent information, so new officers can get into the mission quickly.

NOTE: It's not mandatory, but we would like for everyone to pitch in with the summaries! The more help we can get, the better! The posts don't have to be your own.

by Ensign Vaskel
Prior to the departure of the Zealous, Admiral Granger, Captain Ja'arda and Lt. Vaskel held a meeting for the Senior officers about what the mission was to consist of. Lt. Vaskel handed the senior officers a PADD containing information on the Tarmon Ay including ship specs. The senior officers were told that there was a base hiiden somewhere in the Romulan Neutral Zone and it was the Zealous' task to find it whilst keeping peace intact with the Romulans. Several of the senior officers asked questions that Lt Vaskel answered here is what they were:

Can we increase the speed of the Zealous to keep up with the Tarmon Ay?
At the moment no

Will the Tarmon Ay use Biologicla weapons
It is possible

Can't we try a more Diplomatic Approach?
Of course we want to be diplomatic but it is not likely that will succed so we need toprepare ourselves to fight.

After the briefing was finished Lt. Vaskel went to unlock the Warp Core, and the Zealous departed from the Starbase and headed towards the Daystrom Institute to install the Borg sensors that was brought form the Delta Quadrant by the USS Voyager so that they could find the Base more easily. In sickbay the EMH started to malfunction and when Lt.jg Munroe came there were massive surges causing Lt. Ducane to cut power to sicbay, unfortunetly the EMH was lost. Lt Ducane then sent for Lt. Vaskel and asked him for a new EMH. On the Bridge Ensign Lenario suggested that Naniets were use tho increae the torpedos and is to meet withn Lt. Vaskel. Ensign Lenario informed captain Ja'arda that the EMH was lost by a virus. captain Ja'arda confirmed this. Then Lt.jg Sullivan noticed a 'blip' in the ships systems. Lt. Vaskel came up with the hypothesis thath the virus might be being caused by Naiets and has began a full ship scan to find the answer.

The Zealosu is currently heading towards the Daaystrom Institute at Warp five and will arrive in less than an hour.

Vaskel and Sullivan beamed down to the institute to get the goods, meanwhile, a shocking revelation ensued, where we find that Loyst is infact not an Ensign, but a Fleet Captain from the 29th century, and what's more wierd is that Ducane was called 'Captain' by Loyst.

After a bit of a showdown, Loyst is tracked to the bridge, and held there, until Captain Ja'arda finishes a meeting with Lieutenant/Captain Ducane.

Basically, the decision is to strip Loyst of her rank, and ask her to surrender her command codes, otherwise she will be forced by the use of a 29th century device called the "Temporal Reverter".

The decision to demote a higher ranking officer can only be made by 3 command staff, Captain Ja'arda, Captain Ducane, and another commanding officer of Ja'arda's choice. The charges are violations of the temporal accord, specifically the temporal prime directive, temporal transitioning without license/authorization and numerous temporal incursions. Also various other felonies she has committed whilst onboard the USS Zealous.

Since we're going to start interacting with the Tarmon Ay in the very near future, here is a link with the details on the species, which was created by Vaskel.

Feel free to start up discussions on the Tarmon Ay, and to ask any questions you may have on this new species!

Mission update

Time for a mission update kiddies! Hope its up to standards!

Since the whole insanity with Lloyst, the new borg sensors have been installed and tested by N'Vrix and Ti'ana.

The Captain is having neutral zone related issues. The Klingons have agreed to let us pass, and help us if we need it, the Romulans have stayed all kinds of quiet. We are going in anyway though.

A slightly insane situation has developed in sickbay, with Lt. Sjet. That right kids, the Jake monster is back! He seems to be creating all kinds of havoc down there, then busts through a wall and tears his way down to the shuttlebay. Currently, Murdock, Ducane and Ti'ana are down there trying to stop him from exposing the ship to vacuum or some such nonsense, but Ti'ana is a little wacked out, so she's no help.

So kids, tune in next time to the Zealous mission update for more news, or jsut read our posts, also in the Zealous Lounge!!

This is Lt. Ti'ana Sullivan, Chief of Operations signing off!!

Anyhow, any ideas on how we are going to solve Sjet's problem, because I'm out of ideas.
Sjet, maybe you know, but that's unlikely, you're getting yourself more and more in trouble boy.
In any case, god may save our souls on this one.

See ya, Lucas

A visitation with the Romulans... A suspected traitor on board... Jake is going crazy (What!? Again... Bring out the nail clippers)

What should the Zealous do?

A shot was fired, was it from the Romulans... No, our first encounter with the Tarmon Ay. They have intense knowledge of the USS Zealous, how can this be. Some Ensigns decided that it could be Loyst, a previous traitor from the future... apparently with Alex Ducane (though we all love Alex).

The Tarmon Ay showed us their superior power by blasting the hell out of a Romulan Warbird. With a quick transport Ducane beamed the survivors aboard and Murdock piloted us with great manouevering away from the exploding debris of the Romulan vessel.

What lies in store... who knows....

Nail Clippers? Well, three meters tall, meter long spikes rising from the spine and claws a half meter long...maybe hedge clippers? Or an industrial laser?

Romulans!! Romulans flooding sickbay, using a quick wrist flick, Alex beamed most of them down to Ens. Robinson in the cargo-bay, where she had setup emergency triage facilities.

Ens Batiras came and left with Joy, then Alex had a chat with a Romulan where he found out some interesting information. Using some clever mathematics, he and the Romuland reconstructed the point at which the weapon was fired from, giving Ti'ana something to scan.

Meanwhile, Vaskel continues his duties on the Holodeck, training crewmen in combat, ready, if needs be, for a frontal attack on the Tarmon Ay.

Captain Ja'arda and Counselor Channing paid a visit to Sickbay, and Romulan Commander T'ran, who was being treated there. During the conversation, he revealed something that was very shocking.

Apparently, some Romulans were not happy that their government was seeking peace with the Federation. As such, they would try to do whatever they could to derail the peace process. A few discovered the Tarmon Ay and have been helping their cause in the hopes that the species could destroy the Federation.

Vaskel and Murdock returned to the Holodeck to re-start the training, which had been put on hold by the encounter with the Romulans and Tarmon Ay. Several officers were summoned, and others showed up to also join in on the training, including Captain Ja'arda, Counselor Channing, Ensign Alaris, and Ensign Tylor.

The first stage of the training involved martial arts. Jake Sjet experienced a vision from his past, which made him attack Ensign Alaris. As a result, chaos errupted.

Ti'ana Sullivan went off on both officers, but really took her frustration out on Jake. Captain Ja'arda gave her a sign of support, reprimanding Alaris for pulling out a concealed weapon and firing it on an unarmed officer, especially when he had been told that the first stage of the training would not involve weapons.

Alaris reported in to Sickbay for a physical at the request of Lietuenant Ducane, and Ti'ana left the training in order to meditate. After talking to the Captain for a bit, Jake also left the training. Vaskel concluded the martial arts portion, and then handed the next stage over to Commander Murdock, allowing him to check in with Engineering.

N'vrix detected something in another system and began to investigate, working to modify a probe in order to traverse a greater distance. He got some help Robinson, Ti'ana, and a few others until all of the events of recently caught up with Ti'ana, causing her great distress.

A few crew members who transferred on board while at the Daystrom Institute were reporting to their duty stations for the first time, and Vaskel returned to the Holodeck to check on the progress of the training. The phaser aspect of the training was going well, and Alaris was allowed to rejoin.

Vaskel decided to move everything to the gym, and asked all crew members to report to that area. He adjusted the environmental controls to simulate what it would be like on the planet where the cloaked Tarmon Ay base was hidden, which resulted in a few interesting moments during the training.

A Tarmon Ay Warbird!! Run for your lifes!!!

Not the Zealous crew however... After the ship fired upon us, Red Alert was called and everybody reported to duty stations. Taneth brought shield modifications online which worked at first, but a new beam ripped straight through them, causing a ship-wide power failure.

Before the beam, however, Vaskel and Ja'arda had an unpleasent conversation with a female Tarmon Ay, the CO of the attacking vessel. She demanded that Vaskel be turned over to them, and naturally the Captain refused.

In other subplots:
+ Ensign Alaris limped out of sickbay, ready to go into combat. He can currently be found traversing the bowels of the ship in the Jeffries Tubes
+ Sickbay and surrounding sections through three decks have lost gravity plating... Everything is floating.
+ Sjet propelled himself into a wall with a fire extinguisher
+ Ti'ana is conscious
+ Jalovel is trying to take care of N'vrix
+ N'vrix is painfully conscious
+ Ducane has crawled to Engineering to try and get power back to sickbay, but first the gravity plating
+ Osswell wanted to fire upon the vessel, but weapons went offline
+ Hunt is boldly scavenging the ship, phaser rifle in hand
+ Tylor has perhaps discovered something important that could be used as a possible offense towards the Tarmon Ay
+ Murdock tried in vain to move the ship, but no joy

(appologies if I've missed anyone out)

a little update:

We got rid of the Tarmon Aye boarding party, but they dealt us a few nasty hands.
They knocked some people out
We knocked some of them out
(An eye for an eye and all that)
Then they froze everyone with some wierd green light
(The UFO's are coming)
They stole Vaskel and Osswell. How un-neighborly of them.

And so that leaves us at our current predicament.

After being transfered to a brig in the Warbird Boeraux, Lt. Vaskel and Ensign Osswell were visited by the ships commmand officers Senator Laenia, Colonel Huin and Captain Kaybeck. Vaskel was told that though he was a captive he was to be treated like a guest as he was to valuable to harm. Unfortunelty for Osswell the new was not so good. For showing ingnorance to a Senator he was to be tortured to the brink of insanity, in vain Vaskel protested but his protests were futile. After two hours Osswell and Vaskel were seperated. Osswell was taken to a different brig on a seperate deck and torturing commenced on him. Vaskel was taken to a sort of information bay where he was shown how the tarmon Ay woould take over the Alpha and a good amount of the Beta Quadrant. After that he was allowed to roam the ship becasue the nano security chip allowed him to be transorted immediatley to his brig.

Majel Barrat says: "Last time on Star Trek Zealous"

"Commander, your request is denied", says the Captain.
Jake wants to go, in a shuttle, by himself to try and negotiate peacefully the return of Cargo-Bay Lovin' Vaskel and our dear Mr Osswell.

Alex tries to lighten the mood with Donuts... There's always room for donuts in a briefing. Some thought it was out of place, but it certainly wasn't... you hear that... WASN'T!!

"Captain there is a possible Warp Core overload in Engineering"
Until next time....
