In addition, this time around, I want to make clear that according to our charter, if you hold a position within the ruling body of another simulations group you are not eligible to stand for office. This would be a clear conflict of interest. This is in accordance with: Section D: 3 : Article iii.

All SLA councillors members are required to refrain from serving in a government position in another sim group.
Serving in any capacity in the Simming League is the sole exception to the above provision.
Positions are open to anyone who has been a member of the SLA for longer than 6 months. All hosts are eligible to vote upon this election, unless it concerns their own nomination.

Anyone who wishes to put their name forward, including incumbents, please send an email to either tavey ( via PM) or to the hosts mailstring with a note stating why they wish the position and what they hope to be able to accomplish while in office. Tavey will forward any nominations that she recieves to the appropriate mailstring.

We will also require a voluntary Elections Commissionar to tally the votes and let us know the outcome.

Nominations are open until May 2nd. Voting will open May 2nd and close upon May 8th.

Thanks
Tavey
