The price of knowledge?

I don't know. I'll let you know in about 20 years when I've finished paying off my student loans.

I think I'm lucky. I've only got just under $2000 left to go on my student loans. Once that's paid off, that will leave one debt out of the way.

I agree, but I consider myself lucky. Scholarships and grants paid for quite a bit of it, so I only had to do a loan to cover my first full year. I couldn't get any grants or scholarships for that year because I didn't have any income at the time (as I was still in high school) and didn't think that I had to file for income taxes.

The college I went to cost around $7000 per year, but it was a commuter school and in my area. I was able to live at home and didn't have the added expenses of living in an apartment or in a campus dorm.

Others pay upwards of $20,000 or more per year, including living accomodations!

Looks like we Dutch folk are lucky, the goverment pays our primary needs when we go to the university for 4 years, or longer, depends on what you're studying.
The rest we need to pay, we usually can affort, but as always, students tend to spend more then they have, so in the end, most will have debts. All I'm saying, if you spend your money wisely, we probably won't need to loan anything....I think.... :D

Aha, actually, my internet access will increase by a factor of ten!! ;)

I certainly will stay aboard the Zealous... There'll be a line coming directly into my room (not that that's anything different), but it'll be ten times as faster as it is now...

For those who are interested, I'm on 1M/bit at the moment, but the university are kindly giving me a 10M/bit line :D

Since the Tarmon Ay storyline is coming to an end, I'm going to remove the sticky on this subject. Should we encounter the Tarmon Ay again, I'll restore the sticky, in case if anyone wants to talk about the species or ask any more questions!
