Come on you guy's it's Friday and whether you are at work or school it's a good excuse to celebrate.

It's my parents pearl (30th) wedding anniversary on Monday and i'm throwing them a suprise party on Sunday. Have not got them a present yet any suggestions that won't break the bank?

Party's in Dover 15 minutes walk from the ferry terminal.

And as I was walking home from aqua aerobics tonight it occurred to me that I am cooking for this party and my dad is a chef and his 3 friends from work who are coming are also chefs so I better not give them food poisoning.

Cooking for a bunch of chefs? Sounds like you jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire on that one, Joy! I hope things go well for you.

Well have just had 5 chefs for a party. Hope none of them get food poisoning.

My parents enjoyed tehmselves.

Went for the flowers for mum chocolates for dad present approach which was appreciated so that's good.

Sounds like things went pretty well during that dinner party, Joy! I'll keep an eye on the papers (though the internet). If we don't see anything in the next week about 5 chefs getting food poisoning, you're probably in the clear.

Well no one has reported any upset tummies to me so I think i'm safe.

(note to self need to use a lot more poison next time a few drops are just not enough)

The next party I have to look forward to is my sister's house warming party. Although I do think she wants some help with the food.

Anyway was supposed to be working tomorrow and Friday but tomorrow's hearing has been cancelled so I get the day off. Whoooopeeeee.

So William and I get to do something fun instead.

That sounds great, Joy! What have you got in mind to do with the little one? Maybe you should take some more pictures and post them for us to oogle over! He's just so adorable!

Some of them are pretty good, but you might want to save a hand full until he's older. There's a few that could give him nightmares (i.e. monster Jake, etc).

Of course, Halloween isn't that far away either! Joy, are you going to put him in a costume and give us more pictures? I bet he'd melt all the hearts while he's trick or treating!

I think your're right about some of them being a bit scarey for him. Sorry Jake but you know he is only little.

I have not really thought about halloween yet. Maybe I will have to dust off the sewing machine.

anyway we had a good day today William got to play with his friends at the toddler group I run. Will post some more pics soon.

Just got William his first pair of winter wellies. Thought you guys might like an ogle.

This is probably for the jokes thread but I just had to share it.

Four brothers left home for college, and they became successful doctors
and lawyers and prospered.

Some years later, they chatted after having dinner together.
They discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother who
lived far away in another city.

The first said, "I had a big house built for Mama."

The second said, " I had a hundred thousand dollar theater built in the
house."

The third said, "I had my Mercedes dealer deliver an SL600 to her."

The fourth said, "You know how Mamma loved reading the Bible and you know
she can't read anymore because she can't see very well.
I met this preacher who told me about a parrot that can recite the entire
bible. It took twenty preachers 12 years to teach him. I had to pledge
to contribute $100,000 a year for twenty years to the church, but it was
worth it. Mamma just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot
will recite it."

The other brothers were impressed.
After the holidays Mom sent out her Thank You notes.
She wrote: "Milton, the house you built is so huge I live in only one
room, but I have to clean the whole house. Thanks anyway."

"Marvin, I am too old to travel. I stay home, I have my groceries
delivered, so I never use the Mercedes. The thought was good. Thanks."

"Michael, you gave me an expensive theater with Dolby sound, it could hold
50 people, but all of my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing and I'm
nearly blind. I'll never use it. Thank you for the gesture just the
same."

"Dearest Melvin, you were the only son to have the good sense to give a
little thought to your gift. The chicken was delicious. Thank you."

He is just way too cute, Joy! It won't be too long before he'll really need those. Hopefully, you'll be able to get a White Chrstmas this year!

I know it's early but I have been getting in the mood for Christmas. Last year a friend gave me Christmas cards you can insert your own photos into. So I have just gotten them printed and thought I would share one of the photos I have put in them with you.

These pictures are just sooooooooo adorable, Joy! He looked so handsome and grown up with the bow tie on, and I laughed at the picture with Santa. The expression on his face was priceless, and seemed to say, "Okay, what's with the guy in the red suit? Get me out of here!" LOL!
