Zealous Crew Lounge

A PBEM sim taking place on a Prometheus Class vessel. The cutting edge in Federation technology with a good sized crew and a great deal of excitement.

I'm going home for Christmas. It will be nice to see everyone again. As for Zealous, I think I'm almost ready here. I've kind of been balancing school, and what little free time I have. It took me awhile to make sure I could handle certain things without jeopardizing what I have been working toward. Dreams I guess are not easy..at least for me.

I flew a twin engine Beechcraft for the first time the other day. I'm slowly moving up my flight rating :) It'll take me awhile.

For those that didn't hear, Northwest Airlines pulled the rug out from under me :( So, Im going to school on my own money right now, and I have feelers out for other airlines. Strong contenders are Japan Airlines, and Alaska possibly. I am hoping.

Anyway, consider Melissa active again :) I'll post her doing something this weekend. I am not sure where she is or was doing. Possibly getting ready to accept a proposal or something? (giggle)

So, how have you all been? Good to see you!

Marissa :)

You're right! I almost forgot! I was so glad to hear of your return that it slipped my mind completely...
This is going to be very, very interesting...

I'm fine, I'm in my final year now and doing good. Can't wait to go to the University!
Also, my girlfriend and I are still together, we're approaching 9 months!
Let's hope my character will someday have as much luck as I have in real life

PS. I'm sure many have asked before, but what does flying (As in controlling the airplane) feel like?? Must be more exciting than riding a motorcycle

I know it's a long way off yet but my parents are going to America for Christmas and New Year next year with some friends.

They are staying for one week in Phoenix and then driving to Las Vegas.

The friends they are going with are a bit weird and apparently they are driving between these two places. Does anyone know how far apart they are?

Five hours maybe. It's an easy drive, good freeway all the way.

There's a bunch of speed traps. Watch your speed. Do not exceed the speed limit by more than 10 mph or you can be busted big time.

Have them take a couple of jugs of water and a phone in case they break down. And enough warm clothes to handle snowy weather. It can be COLD up there.

Las egas shoud be a blast through. Its changed so much for the better in the last twenty years. Lots of fun to be had there, if you watch your wallet.

I'm suddenly recieving emails from the FOR-1 mailinglist I've already had a month ago. The dates from them are also from November. Maybe someone can explain this strange phenomenon???

I don't know what it is, Luke, but some of the e-mails were caught by the spam filter. I think it's because those individuals directly e-mailed the Zealous mailstring, instead of just sending it through their regular one.

For the 2nd year in a row, we're proud to incorporate a chat event into the Sethies Awards, where we will "present" the awards prior to posting them here on the forums.

The event will take place:

Wednesday, December 28
9:30pm Eastern

The chat will take place, simultaneously, on both AOL/AIM (Room: SLA Lounge) and IRC (Java client link: http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/?roo ... bedded.prm ).

After the ceremony has ended, stick around and get to know your fellow SLA simmers, hosts, and any guests who may attend!

Don't forget to mark your calendars, and we hope to see you there!

Sorry for my inactivity everyone! To sum it up, here is the email i sent to jake: -

Hi, and thanks for bearing with me over this long period of unannounced LOA. The truth is, i am finding it difficult juggling my life a t the moment, and have had some problems. This email address has also recieved lots of Spam, and i don't check it any more. Currently i have over 1000 unread emails in my inbox from the past month, and i can't be bothered to clear them all out. I WILL be back on the zealous though, give me a week or so to tie up things on my end and i will be back. I plan on signing up for another e-mail address especially for this sim so i won't get any spam. I'll keep in contact, and once again, thanks for bearing with me. I'd love to be a part of the bustling Zealous community again.
